Diploma in Medical Lab Technology – about the course
This diploma course helps the candidate to become a medical lab technologist and get responsible positions in medical facilities. Medical lab technology is considered to be a medical science branch that is responsible towards performing lab investigations associated with treatment, diagnosis and prevention of diseases. The major subjects that are to be covered in the 1st and 2ndf year of the course are quite similar to that of the Degree course. Eligibility
- 10+2 having medical lab technology as vocational background and minimum marks of 45%.
- 10+2 or equivalent having science as the core subjects involving Chemistry, Physics and Biology and having 45% minimum marks.
The candidate is to undergo internship training program for six months to continue with the bachelor degree course. The fees to be borne for undergoing the course is likely to vary depending upon the college joined, varying from Rs. 5,000 to 1 lakh. Students may be admitted after qualifying the entrance exam or direct admission procedure, which again depends upon the college.
