What is the Buddha International Circuit?

It is located 40kms away from the city of Delhi. Situated in the sector 25 YEIDA of greater Noida, in Uttar Pradesh it can be reached within an hour from Delhi.
Who designed it?
The Buddh International Circuit is designed by the legendary German architect and race track designer Herman Tilke. He is well known for his work across the world. He has designed many world class race circuits in China, Turkey, Malaysia, Bahrain, Indonesia, UAE, Africa, Korea and the US.

Why is this circuit so famous?
It was at this very place that India’s first F1 race was organised. Buddha International Circuit is popular for hosting the annual formula one Indian grand prix from 2011 for three years. Later on the event was shelved due to certain government regulations. Spread over a large 2500 acre area, the circuit belongs to Jaypee greens sports city.

Along with the well designed racing path, there is a great deal of other interesting things to see in the circuit. The infrastructure, architecture, paddock club, media centre, grandstand, platinum enclosures, grand plaza, racing roads and lawns, everything is so damn wonderful, you do not feel like leaving the place. On open track day, you can drive your car on the race road by buying a ticket costing you somewhere around 4000 Rs.
